ACTS is a parish centered program, to evangelize a parish community. The program is designed to bring parishioners into a closer relationship with our Lord and the parish community, and foster engagement in parish ministries. The ACTS program was developed by ACTS Missions – Texas and the San Antonio Archdiocese. The program started in 1987 and is now used by parishes in over 50 dioceses in 6 countries. It should be noted that the most successful and sustained ACTS program results when the parish clergy have also attended an ACTS retreat.
Acts first came to Canada in 2010 and has been hosted by the following parishes:
St. Martin of Tours
St. John of the Cross
St. Patrick's, Mississauga
St. Francis Xavier
Nativity of Our Lord
St. Ignatius of Loyola
St. Francis of Assisi
St. Anne's Brampton
St. Josephine Bakhita
